Case Studies

Boyz in Da Hood Youth Video

One of our first educational outreach projects supported a group of young asian men to learn about video production techniques whilst exploring issues in their community. The final was showcased in local youth film festivals and went onto be broadcast on BBC2, winning the group accolade for the issues it explored from the BBC and the NSPCC.

#OurSelfie – Honeywell Foundation, Indiana

Glass Eye was invited to Indiana to work with a group of young people as part of the Honeywell educational outreach program to produce a short film about peer pressure. The team took part in film development, craft and production workshops. They then took on the roles to produce their film, which was celebrated in a community event and later was accepted into the Chicago Children’s Film Festival. The participants got the opportunity to attend the showcase in front of industry peers at the Academy Award qualifying film festival in Chicago.

Following the success of this project Glass Eye were invited back to work with the foundation on other projects which found success in the White House Film Festival. The foundation also attracted funds to develop the Eagles Theatre into its very own Media Arts Program with bespoke facilities for young people of Indiana.
